Academic Tutoring Legal Disclaimer for Apollo Scholars covering copyright, AI use, exam board references and content ownership.
Apollo Scholars is a private UK-based tutoring service offering personalised and group online academic support and revision resources. This Academic Tutoring Legal Disclaimer explains how our materials are used, including copyright, AI-assisted content, exam board references and content ownership.
1. Use of Exam Board Materials
Some resources created by Apollo Scholars reference or include publicly available exam board materials (e.g. past paper questions or specification statements) from bodies such as AQA, Edexcel, OCR, or others. These are used:
- Under fair dealing provisions of UK copyright law
- For non-commercial, educational purposes only
- To help students understand model answers and revision content
We only include relevant individual questions or specification excerpts, and never full past papers. In addition, all exam questions used are attributed to their rightful source within each guide, including the exam board, paper name and question number where applicable.
Apollo Scholars is not affiliated with or endorsed by any UK examination board or awarding body. All rights remain with the respective content owners. Where relevant, past paper materials may be discussed and used during paid tutoring sessions for educational purposes only, and are not sold, distributed, or made available for download.
If any material is used inappropriately, please contact us and we will act swiftly to amend or remove it.
2. Original Content and AI Tools
We create revision materials using a combination of tutor expertise and AI-assisted tools. Furthermore, these materials are always vigorously reviewed and carefully customised for educational value. As a result, the final resources are original, branded and tailored to student learning needs.
These materials are the intellectual property of Apollo Scholars and, therefore, may not be copied, shared, or repurposed without written consent.
AI Image Disclaimer: Some images on this website and in our revision guides (free and paid) are generated using the site’s built-in AI image generator. Importantly, this tool includes safeguards designed to help prevent sensitive or inappropriate content.
These images are provided for educational and illustrative purposes only. They are not real, historical, or factual depictions, especially regarding sensitive topics. While care is taken to ensure appropriateness, these images should not be interpreted as actual historical evidence.
3. Private Distribution Only
All exam-related resources are:
- Shared privately via secure, view-only links and, as such, restricted to authorised access only.
- Intended exclusively for the use of enrolled students, ensuring a focused and secure learning experience.
- Not sold, published, or made available for public download and, therefore, must not be circulated further.
Materials are created to enhance tutoring sessions and student outcomes and, as such, are therefore not intended for resale or public distribution.
4. Brand Independence
Apollo Scholars is an educational brand dedicated to helping students thrive. Moreover, the name is inspired by the spirit of academic exploration.
We are not affiliated with NASA, the European Space Agency, SpaceX, or any space-related organisation or institution. Instead, the name “Apollo” is symbolic and aspirational, rather than indicative of any formal relationship.
5. Contact and Compliance
We respect intellectual property and copyright law. If you are a rights holder and believe any content is used improperly, please contact us at:
